Quibi is set to launch on April 6, 2020. Today, Tech Crunch revealed that the streaming service, intended for viewing on cell phones, is presently accessible for pre-order on the App Store and Google Play.
Quibi will offer speedy videos, 10 minutes or less, that watchers can stream whenever they have a few additional minutes in the day. Content will incorporate dramatization, comedy, documentaries, news, and sports.
With the application, Quibi says “You’re in full control of what you watch and how you watch it. Vertical, horizontal; no matter how you hold your phone, everything is framed to fit your screen. There are right and left-hand controls (you choose!). Even quiet mode to watch in noisy places.”
Subscriptions will cost $4.99/month with ads and $7.99/month for an advertisement free experience. A Quibi subscription will get people new content every week, including original movies in chapters, told 10 minutes one after another, unscripted shows, and “daily essentials” to them informed on news, sports, finance, and culture.
